I have been going to Oak Hill since a search about 2006 indicated they were a highly rated service garage. An admitted picky car geek who has worked on my own cars for more than 50 years, it has always been a good experience. They have serviced three autos for me, even those with parts hard to find, and soon to add a fourth. They are also an invaluable source for advice regarding what new car to buy. Who knows better than the people who maintain and repair cars for a living? Their advice led to my fourth car which has been as trouble-free as they said it would be. I will continue to go to Hank, Steve and the crew as long as I can. Follow-up Since my previous review, I have been back to Oak Hill several times. And I will continue to go. I know ALLOT about my cars. I keep my vehicles for more than 20 years. I work on them myself as much as I can. The vast collection of tools, jack stands, floor jacks, and OEM parts in my large, clean, well-lit home garage attest to that. But I need a partner to take care of the things beyond the scope of my tools or expertise. Hank and Steve fit the bill. I learned the person I sold my Lakeway house to has been a customer since the '90s and speaks highly of them. I started going more than a decade ago due to the favorable ratings at the time. Are they the lowest priced? In most cases, no. But what value do you assign to your safety and having a reliable car with lower operating costs? You get what you pay for. I know Oak Hill DOES cost less than many of the high-priced shops and auto dealers that do not have the high level of quality of work Oak Hill has. It takes time and a tremendously positive experience to gain my trust. Oak Hill is one of those rare businesses that has earned my unconditional trust. I guard my money more than most. As a good friend taught me decades ago, I demand my hard-earned dollars run around the block several times before I let them go. I learned that the value you get for your money is what you want. If you want "cheap," then you get cheap. And then you end up paying more in the end for "cheap."
